Well looks like blogs like this might be coming to an end so getting hard stuff with only 100 ever releases will be near on impossible to obtain if the REPUBLICAN FUCKS have there way. There are many CD's I'd love to share with you (ESPECIALLY THE ROTTED & AMEBIX ALBUMS FROM 2011....but I won't) & I am not compleatly innocent when it comes to putting up stuff that can be readily available for that I admit. But there are a shit load of recordings here which are damn hard to get hold of & now some wankers in the USA are fucking it up for us.

So maybe we can go back to all "tape trading" or at least "disc" trading it aint such a bad thing that like & something I really miss but I really don't have the time for it now being in my 40's with many other responsibilities. I literally have had my head in the ground for a few weeks now with work & getting pissed when not working or more importantly spending time with the Mrs. Seen this SOPA & PIPA thing but had no idea what it was.

It's also a shit cause it means a lot of bands who try to get there songs round the world are now unable to use MEGAUPLOAD & in time I am sure MEDIAFIRE will get it as well in the end huh? I didn't have much on MEGAUPLAOD & what I did was actually mostly my own personal stuff now lost in cyberspace? But you will find that on the occasion that MEDIAFIRE played up I used "MGUPLD" There are other ways of course avenue's will open I am sure. (As I'm writing this someone said SOPA & PIPA are dead?) I pause my blog for now.................................................................................................................................... OK so here it is both PIPA & SOPA have had the bills removed but what can this mean for blogs like mine still in the future I was practically saying goodbye to you all but seems I'm gonna be round ranting & raving & swearing at you a bit longer JUST FOUND THIS wow is it worth printing this blog well I think it is so fuck it by the time you get to the bottom you can see how it changed for me.

In any case like I've always said you should buy the stuff if you really like it, but I also said that if you really cannot afford something then I'd rather you have my music than not at all. But do other bands feel the same NO & YES what if anyone is reading this do you feel especially band? You can answer this on FACEBOOK page as well if ya want would be nice to have some feedback for a change!! I give a band a listen & if there shit then that's it why should I pay £10 for a CD & it's wank. I have hundreds of CD's & Albums I have bought played couple of songs & never listened to it again cause it's SHIT. Oh don't get me wrong it does piss me off when we can't even get £2 for a CD we have paid money out to do ourselves but hey I'd rather you come to one of my gigs & think fuck they was good/fun cause the buzz is amazing.

Black metal really isn't my thing but as 2 of the members of this band are 2/3rds of Agathocles now (2012) I thought maybe one or two of you out there may be interested in what Nils & Bram done before they joined Jan in 2008 which I'm presuming brought an end to this band cause there now disbanded. I'm currently putting the final touches to the Agathocles tour (especially the Liverpool part in getting my house ready for some blokes with my 2 dogs & wife already in here should be fun!!!) with my partners in crime SPASTIC COLON & ACTIVE REBELLION for this tour (see blog a few below). Well when I had the idea to put metal, hardcore & grind bands all on the same bill I chose CODE BREAK to be the first out & out hardcore band to be the first time we was gonna mix the shit up we'd previously just done THE WANKYS, BLAGG & US on our first bill. Anyway it didnt happen like but we've kept em in mind however due to one local band pulling out 24hours before we played what turned out to be a successful mix with FACE OF CHRIST playing we sort of got pissed off with the general selfish acttitude of the in my opinion boring PC orientated still stuck in the 80's hardcore scene which you can't have a laugh in cause it's a all too serious now so mixing EXTREME MUSIC on the same bill has been put on the back burner for now sadly (Well I thought it was a good idea ...anyone else?)

However Code Break sound decent & this ep proves it cause some of the utter wank I have heard Hardcore wise out now is SHOCKING however , I like this EP so well done. Lets hope we can play in the future together tho Dr AIDS plans are changing as we speak & we may very well....(well I'm not gonna say anything yet so sorry brought that up) I'm not gonna upload this EP you can do it from there BANDCAMP page for free all thats left to say is it's a good 7 out of 10 ep get it pass it around well done guys.

Early 80s era DC punk/hardcore sounding band with a lyrical slant to the humdrum of working 9 to 5 and trying to get through the week.

BIOGRAPHY :

4 friends got together to play Minor Threat songs in a room. Ant, not being the biggest Minor Threat fan, didn't know his Itunes had ballsed up the tracklisting on his Ipod, so learnt all the wrong songs. That idea got nipped in the bud after about 30 minutes of "What the hell are you playing?" So it was decided that they would just write their own. First song came. It sounded good. Next practice came and yet another song. This new song brought the realisation that the first song was actually pretty much turd. So that was quickly forgotten. More practices and more songs came. All sounding pretty good. Did some recording with Ex Grampus Eight and current Crocodile God 4 string dynamo Andy Mason. All sounding even better. First gig at a Yam Yam Promotions show at Bumper. Went very well indeed. Karl won MVP of the night amongst the band. Ant spilt water first song in and spent the whole gig trying not to fall on his ass. Mike didn't throw up and Steve played a blinder. 2nd gig followed. Crap amps, crap equipment, crap sound but good times and as bad gigs go, not bad at all. And despite his stomach's best efforts, Mike didn't throw up. Then bad times. Ste had to pull out due to injury. Band up in the air. Practices as a guitarless three piece commenced. More songs got written. But if only there was a guitarist to share the joy with...Ant had a brainstorm. Put it to the other guys. Hell yes. Ant emails Gary. Gary comes to practice for try out. Band says "Damn yes." Gary says "Ah go on then". Back to four piece. Practices to continue, songs being worked on and back to more gigs as soon as possible.

I haven’t forgot about it tho hence why I am here!!!

Today we announced that is Dr AIDS in connection with our label Fred Westlife Inc, Spastic Colon & Active rebellion that AGATHOCLES are coming to the UK for the first time in February pretty excited about this as me & Piggy have been into Agathocles since the beginning well almost like!! So it’s gonna be an honour to play with them & nice to finally meet Jan after 25 years!!! Fuck we’re getting old haha!! Fingers crossed we’ll do a song together? As we’re gonna be covering LIVING ON TRASH by them maybe Jan will sing with us or we can do something with them?? Funny story 2 of the bands women are a year older that day FEB 4th 2012 & they are non too pleased hahaha!! Not my problem but Petch & Piggy are in shit street anyway FUCK BIRTHDAYS they are just another way of telling you, your a year closer to death!!

Played with these guys in the shittest venue in Newcastle on the plus side the supermarket was over the road so we drunk them out of Stella also on the plus side I can’t remember fuck all fell over at least 3 times & but on the bad side the rest of the band pig piled me. Thought I'd broke my ribs & it cost us £90 :( I also have not bothered listening to the recording cause there aint nothing worse than hearing yourself smashed, funny thing is tho apparently I sung words to a different song whilst the guys played something else hahaha....enough about my drunken antics!!

Our new mates Brainworm are well worth a listen & are well different live than these mp3’s the demo is more crusty & live more hardcore but then again I could be wrong check back on the first paragraph if you have forgot!!! Stole the thing below from DISCOGS thought you might wanna read it? Saint Vitus one of the few Doom Metal bands I truly like so thought be a bit of a change for my blog not sure if the links will last long but in any case they’re there for now enjoy the masters of DOOM!!!!

Saint Vitus are a highly influential American doom metal band from Los Angeles.
The band was formed in 1979 under the name Tyrant, with Dave Chandler (guitar, vocals), Mark Adams (bass), and Armando Acosta (drums), but soon added Scott Reagers on vocals and changed their name to Saint Vitus after the song "St. Vitus' Dance" by Black Sabbath. Their main influences were Sabbath and Black Flag, the latter of which Saint Vitus toured with during the 1980's.
Under this line-up, Saint Vitus recorded 2 albums, "Saint Vitus" & "Hallow's Victim", and an EP "The Walking Dead". After "The Walking Dead" Reagers left the band and was replaced by The Obsessed frontman Scott "Wino" Weinrich (at this time, The Obsessed had only released one 7").
Wino recorded three studio albums ("Born Too Late", "Mournful Cries" & "V"), a live album ("Live"), and an EP ("Thirsty and Miserable", featuring the Black Flag cover of the same name) with Vitus. Weinrich left Saint Vitus in 1991 to reform The Obsessed after Vitus's label, Hellhound Records, released an album of older Obsessed recordings.

Reagers recorded vocals for the band's final album, "Die Healing". After this, Saint Vitus decided to call it a day in 1996.
"Born Too Late" line-up (Weinrich, Chandler, Adams, Acosta) played a gig at Double Door in Chicago.The performance was recorded and released on a DVD that is distributed through Chandler's current band, Debris, Inc., which features former Trouble bassist Ron Holzner. Following the reunion, Saint Vitus parted ways again.
As of 2008, Saint Vitus have reformed again. The band headlined the April 24 date at the 2009 Roadburn Festival. The lineup for this reunion was the same as the 2003 reunion. Arghhhhh Napalm Death you say well I’m only putting on the first 2 albums cause everything else they done is I'll just say not my cup of tea. Whilst I accept Barney is a good singer I much preferred him in Benediction & undoubtedly the only member you could call sort of original Shane is a boss bassist. Too me after FETO they should have changed there name cause to me it’s not Napalm Death anymore. Not the original blow you away as they did stuff that you want to watch after Lee left for me well basically so did I. Basically the classic line up for me was Bill, Lee, Mick & Shane I suppose with Jim Whitely thrown in as he’s on side 2 of scum. Although you gotta give credit to Nik Napalm & Justin Broadrick for there side of Scum. I ain’t put the Peel Session’s on here cause well there on Grind Madness At The BBC so go there it’s on my blog somewhere! So we have it my opinion of ND as I like!! Sadly last year I seen them twice & walked out twice sorry guys you just don’t do it for me anymore. Anyway basically you should have these records if your into early grind/hardcore there is no reason why you shouldnt they're masterpieces of punk rock.

The first flyer we did you can find it on the blog around mid April had Fred & Rose West which pissed people off no end!! OK this was our CD launch gig finally gave the Disc version of the “drive me to kill you ep” to people everyone who came got a CD with the entrance fee.

Night started off with our drummer Joe doing his solo stuff you can find stuff on the blog somewhere Xenophobic Misogynist.

& then our mates “Bleed Black” (Now called COTTON MOUTH) stoner metal & our ex guitarist is on the bass for them.

We was putting the gig on so due to door duties & the fact the venue is so hot I sadly didn't really get to see much of either although I did shout abuse in when I could! Anyway Joe’s been at Obscene Extreme all week on the piss & then he came home on Tuesday & went on the piss & then had to do his solo set & then drum for us yeah he was fucked!!

Me & Petch went on the ale about 3.30 in the afternoon not the greatest choice when your putting your own gig on but we can’t help it cause we like Stella too much!

But by the time we’d finished the gig & packed it in the van & took it to our lock up I WAS UTTERLY FUCKED!! Just glad me mate dropped me off at my door head hit the pillow next thing I know it’s 7am!!!

It has to happen eh a Macc Lads blog classic & funny as.. to think I could have seen these loads of times & I chose not to cause back then I was a stuffy teenager/20 odd year old who thought they was sexist! Just to let you know it costs a fortune to keep a band going. Here is what it costs us about £25 a session to practice, £7 a week to keep our gear locked up so we don't have to lump it all over the place.

It cost us £100 for an 8 hour session to record our new ep (done really cheap in one day when really should have took about 3 days not to mention how much it cost for alcohol & taxi's to the place) & nearly £400 to get our EP sorted on disc not to mention what it's gnna cost to send the fucker round the world for mates to sell & we estimate that it will cost about £1000 to record & get the full length album out!

That's without buying equipment paying to travel to gigs which we never get paid for!! So like I say guys I know a lot of you can't afford stuff but when you can support the bands we do it for love not the money but you can help! .....Agz
